Clifford has been missing his family very much. But just as Emily Elizabeth needs Clifford, there are people who need Clifford's family. To cheer him up, Emily Elizabeth takes Clifford on a visit to see his family members, each of whom has a special role in the lives of others and in their community.
His brother, Nero, is a rescue dog at the fire station; his sister Claudia is a seeing-eye dog; and his other sister is a farm dog. Though it's hard living away from them, Clifford knows they are where they need to be.
